Have good relationships

You’ll be happier and healthier if you get on with the other people in your life. Relationships aren’t always easy and they certainly aren’t straightforward; you will be trying to work through relationships of one sort of another for the rest of your life, and you will certainly have sadness as well as happiness along the way.

Sadness is part of life, and helps people develop and grow. It is unrealistic to expect non-stop happiness from any human relationship, and you will put unnecessary pressure on yourself and others if you do. But there are things you can do to get the best out of your relationships with families, friends and others – not to mention your love life.

In the ups and downs of human relationships, many teenage girls find great comfort in the simple affection of animals; whether or not you have a pet of your own, have a look here.

It also often helps to know that other people have felt the same way as you. Listening to music, watching a film, or reading a book, can all help you understand yourself and your relationships, and can offer fun, comfort and escapism along the way.
