Countries do not act alone; the United Kingdom is a member of various international organisations and additionally has all sorts of agreements about all sorts of issues with all sort of countries. You don’t need to worry about most of them, but you should know at least something about the European Union, the Council of Europe, the United Nations, NATO and the G7/8.
